At Last! Joining the tractor club!

As many of you might or might not have known, I have been in the market for a E90 320d for the last few months...

First and most importantly I would like to thank "$nivz330d$" (Nivern from Lyndhurst Auto) who helped and guided me every step of the way. He went out of his way to help me, even though I ended up buying a car from another BMW Dealership. He is truly concerned with the customers needs, and looks out for their best interest. I can recommend him to ANYONE looking to buy a new or used BMW. :thumbs:

I ended up getting a 2011 320d, with 79 000km on the clock. I am really satisfied with the purchase, the car is in a great condition inside and out, it does however have a few minor cosmetic dents & scratches on the outside (witch I intend to get fixed in the near future).

Ive only driven around 50km, and so far I am very impressed with the general ride quality and performance. :inlove:

Ill post some close ups as soon as I get the bodywork fixed to 100% (recommendations on suppliers to use?)

As for future mods, when the Motorplan expires, I will be following the route of the other fellow fanatics to get some more power, all in good time tho...

Ive decided to take a few days off work, this will give me plenty time to get comfortable with the car.

1st up an roadtrip to Bloemfontein today, Im really excited to see what this car can do on the open road... :joy:

Can anyone make a recommendation where I can get my minor cosmetic scratches and dents looked at in the JHB area? I know there are guys on the forum, but I cant seem to recall names...

Ill definitely check them out upon my arrival back in Gauteng.

So according to the trip computer I averaged 4.5l per 100km on the way down to the Freestate, and to be honest I didn't really do an economy run. Im not sure how accurate this can be, seems a bit optimistic?

Update - I am back in Gauteng, will be taking my car in today to Dent Doctor to get a quote for the cosmetic damage...

I managed to do my 1st 1000km over the last few days and I am very impressed with the fuel economy thus far. The exact combined economy was 6.0l per 100km, with 60% highway and 40% town driving...

I still have to do a proper economy run tho, the torque is highly addictive...

Update - I have finally used my 1st tank of diesel and the verdict is in...

I refueled 55.4 liters to the brim (if the tank is 63liter, there was still a couple of liters left). Total distance covered is 1054km.

That gives me a combined average consumption of 19.03 km per liter OR 5.25 liter per 100km. raise:

Fair enough the majority (about 70%) was highway driving, and 30% town driving.

If I have to rate my driving style Ill say its a 4 out of 10 for aggression. I am normally a 2, BUT being the 1st tank I did test the power a few times...
