Was a busy weekend!
  • Had a visitor from SA, a good friend from the BMWFanatics forum.
  • Got invited to have the M3 on Display at the Yas Marina Circuits' annual Super Street drag racing. Saw what i believe is the quickest 400m i have ever seen live!
  • Attended the Flat12 Grand Picnic, UAE's most anticipated car community events ever - Check my Reel on IG for some of the pics i took

Perfect timing - No idea how but the front tow hook cover went missing on Friday - I washed the car and parked it off, when i got back it was gone. Not sure if it was loosened while washing the car and then fell off on the way home. But its gone - left a hole in my heart (and bumper).

Of course some pics while sightseeing with a visitor!

Saturday at Yas Marina!

Grand Picnic - with a workaround to cover up the hole on the bumper!

Winter = Car Season in the UAE and with a full schedule of events, it's actually becoming a problem - This coming weekend: 2 March - Spektrum (Porsche event) in Dubai. Then, shoot back to Abu Dhabi to an event at Yas Marina by Carholics. Roll racing at Yas Drags. Sunday, breakfast run and meet at Cars Cafe in Dubai. Sunday afternoon, UAE E9x M3 club is having a track day at Yas!

Its crazy! Literally will be going home to shower and sleep only this weekend!

Anyways, last weekend was a Carholics meet in Abu Dhabi, M3 got some pics from 2 really good photographers and i thought to share:

With it being Ramadan (reduced working hours), a lot of the car communities have taken to organising a meetup/drive in the afternoons. Carholics.ae is doing a phenomenal job in Abu Dhabi, which in history saw very little car community gatherings. Flat12 in Dubai does an amazing Ramadan Drive often and it bring in all the lovely sports, classics and rare cars - in fact, vehicles!

As i am based in Abu Dhabi, the Carholics.ae Lafah is often attended! Its also rite across the road from work at Yas Marina Circuit. Its a meet at 4:30pm, with a short drive at 5pm and then people mingle and take photos till its time to leave to make it home for Iftar. Generally the photographers out there are busy and love the mix of cars. I was lucky to get some pics!

Will definitely share more as i go for the meets!

Its been a year since the last oil change, roughly 4,000km done since the last oil change in March 2023 so the M3 is off to Octane tomorrow for some maintenance as she is about to finish off her run in period - ticking on 99,85xkm at the moment.
  • Replace discs, pads and sensors
  • Brake Fluid Flush
  • Coolant Flush
  • Oil Service
Im also upgrading the CCC with the Mr12Volt CCC CarPlay/Android auto unit. I have the Mr12Volt BT streaming unit now, but after having an Android Auto friendly HU in the Golf im spoilt.

Also, with Android Auto usage, I can't be stuck with a dead phone battery, so i ordered the Induktiv wireless charging replacement kit for the ashtray. https://induktivcharging.com/produc...induktiv-charging-unit?variant=42574059995324

While the car is at Uncle Shak (Octane), he will fit the upgrades. I'm excited for another upgrade thats coming in a few weeks... 🤫

Just some pics relating to the previous post.

Got the car back from Octane, these guys are such a pleasure to deal with.
On the way back from Dubai, the M3 completed her "Run In" mileage:

INDUKTIV Wireless Charger in place and working perfectly! Need to sort out that trim that's starting to peel!

Android Auto. What a blessed comfort feature!

Did some dishes!

And the best part! Taking it out for a drive and enjoying it!

And a basement shot!

You guys still safe ?
Yeah thanks buddy, we safe! 2 days of really heavy rain, over 250 mm in 24 hours caused some havoc as you can imagine especially as UAE is in the desert. Usual average rainfall over a year is like 80mm. Drainage got a shock and left the chat, lots of flooding - roads waterlogged, cars floating! Country went on a disaster shut down since, things are now opening up again.
Thankfully, no damage on my side. Thanks to the almighty for keeping us safe!

I mentioned in a previous post about the Ramadan Drives - The one amazing part is meeting enthusiasts during these events.
At one of the meets, a photographer (Khaled) took a pic of my car and shared with me, he then reached out to me to do a photo and video shoot.

I'm going to share the link to the reels for now, there are some pics as well. Will share those later!

Okay... Summers kicking in hard and solid. M3 will be out and about seldom! But you keep you going, here are some Albums with recent shoots.

She did attend Offset.dxb this year, here is an unsorted album!

You would see how i got 'stuck' on my way from Abu Dhabi to Dubai in the M3 due to the offramp water logged, took me 4 hours to get to Dubai. Usually its an hour drive. And i had to hop on a recovery for 500m.

M3 was just serviced so the engine, etc is maintained. The air management and suspension is will get its first service after almost 3 years. Other than that, i will put back on the M359's and get the car cleaned again and ready for hibernation.
