Hi guys,

So ive had a rough idle a few times in the morning, and now and then, then one day it stuttered badly,I shut it of and started again and the problem was gone, though lately it feels sluggish!

This morning I scanned and found the following pending faults

P0303
P0403
P0603
P00aa
B2aaa
B2aaa

The last one not typed by error twice as this is how my obd tool showed it to me.

Where do I start as I want to fix it please I miss her being in a good condition.

And BTW my motorplan expired 14 Aug!

If I'm not mistaken, those codes relate to a misfire in the cyclinder.

Check the spark plugs and thereafter the ignition coil.

This happened to me previously with my Opel and I experienced the same problems with the car idling roughly and being sluggish.
I changed the spark plugs and had the error codes deleted, it worked for me.

I'm using an elm327 mini

And the Torque app,

Also this morning it was very bad but after standing in the sun a bit the problem is completely gone and drives normal again. I'm clueless

After it was normal again I scanned again for the codes but they stay in the section for unconfirmed errors, even after I clear the codes

I had a cold start misfire that vanishes after the car warms up a bit. Error codes were misfiring on various cylinders. If it's similar to this it could be leaky injectors .

I suggest you try new plugs, test coils(hopefully someone has spares lying around)
The way to check leaky injectors is to let the car stand overnight and remove plugs prior to starting the car and see of any of the plugs are wet.

Your codes are induced by a PCV related issue and not an electronics issue.

Check that you do not have a cracked pipe or blocked/leaking valve

I will be getting a new set of plugs today and fit them,

a1exander- could you please elaborate a bit more?
PCV valve meaning?
And the pipes you mention is that boost pipes or vacuum etc?

Before starting with the injectors, first test your coil packs.

If you do need injectors, speak to Kish here on the forum, i know he had some.

Check the actual tappet cover for cracks also.
Mine had the same issue. Had to purchase the tappet cover which came with the gasket.

Moer expensive

Replaced the gasket today, quite a biggie compared to an old 8v motor...lol

Anyway,no cracked cover, just one issue,I broke one of the cover bolts off inn the hole, wil have to remove it next weekend.

I followed this tutorial, except I broke one bolt when trying to torque so eventually I ended up not torqueing the bolts

Check a1exanders/Peters response again.

If your problem is still there it could be pcv valve, I had multiple missfires on the x5. Eventually turned out to be the pcv valve. Google the symptomps and diagnosis of the pcv valve / oil separator valve
