I've never seen more than 6 at a time for sale. I think they're a lot of car for what you're paying without M tax. There were a couple at Sandton BMW that were there for quite some time, then a couple came up at Fourbuy in Fourways, there was one in Witbank (still there), there was one at Platinum Wheels in Fourways that was a water damaged car with low mileage that was going for a song (I wonder why!). They don't come up too often, there was only basically three production years, 21, 22 and 23 before they stopped making them.

I'm very skeptical about buying from Fourbuy.

Nearly bought a 2018 Range Rover Sport SVR from them for 750k, mileage on 120k. Car was meant to be written off

Ya look, I'll be honest with you, I know there are good reputable independent dealers out there, and to paint them all with the same brush is a bit off the mark. I also know that there are less than reputable OEM dealers out there. I've been relatively lucky in my dealings with OEM dealerships, but there are some I'd stay well away from to be honest with you. I remember when there was so much in the press about S4 Auto in Boksburg selling code 3 cars that they had rebuilt and then sticking big prices on them. There was a Carte Blanche episode about them. But I will stick to the dealers I have dealt with. They're a known quantity to me.

I just viewed a 2025 German car with only 11k km, being sold by the OEM. The car had so much of overspray that even the salesman was supposedly shocked. Either the valuator was blind or the dealer themselves they did a IDGAF job respraying it.

This is a big problem. There are many of these cars that have had the front end sprayed for stone chips in the back yard of the dealer. They are not always accident damaged but will need to be properly/professionally resprayed. The cars with the worst overspray are these that were not taken apart and painted properly... worse than even the re-virginized ones.

I had the same choice to make and chose the 30d mainly due to reliability even though the 50d is a bullet and generally comes much better specced than the 30d models.

The 50D has 4 turbos and is an extremely complex engine. Not known for being very reliable, especially in the G series. There's a reason why some 30d's are fetching more than 50d's with the same mileage and condition.

1 or 2 or 3 or 4 will still give you sh!t when it goes wrong, so might as well have more turbo's... think of turbo's like girlfriends - why settle for one when the more, the merrier.
