So the onboard computer has been telling me I got 7000km till next service but I thought it would be better to get a service in now already. I decided to go check the onboard computer for the last service details and to my shock & horror it stated April 2024 :eek::eek: (I only got it October 2025). Once the shock wore off I checked my chats with the sales rep about the service history and saw they said there was an included Bosch service book which I now found. It has a service listed in late December 2024 only 4000km later so I'm very confused and also upset with myself for not having double checked this sooner...rookie mistakes 🤦‍♂️

Long story short... I need to get a service done ASAP just to make sure everything is good meaning that ONCE AGAIN I need to reach out to all you wonderful people for recommendations on who to take it to for a service preferably in the Randburg or Randpark Ridge area so that its close to either my work or home?

I'm assuming that taking it to a BMW dealership will just mean a more expensive service for basically the same results or are their services not insanely priced?

The guys have given the right choice, I am going to definitely say the same: @Clint@MMS AUTO .
Cannot recommend him anymore! You will be hooked with the care your car gets AND he will pick up the lifespan of everything required and give you a timeline also to save and work towards if they are big tickets items and obviously based on your appetite of spend. That is what i really, really appreciate.

Thanks @Greenz @KPM3_30 & @AshG108 I will reach out to him today and get an appointment to service and also give me a general health eval.

Oh and btw I think I figured out why my car was telling me I only need a service in 7000km. Last night I used my bimmercode app to connect to the car to get the factory shipped spec/details and found the below highlighted line item saying "Oil service interval - 18 months/20,000 km". Sure that isn't normal and does this mean I can't change the default service interval reminder in the car?

:ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: Oh don't worry I've mentally beaten myself up for being stupid enough to blindly trust the "Next Service In X KM" messages 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

I was born & raised in Durbz but moved to JHB for work and currently living in Randpark Ridge.

And yourself?

You should be able to have it changed. I had my mackie change mine to one year/10k km on my e90 when i got it.

You must be smiling with that new found Torque. It will make real life driving scenarios so much better.

The acceleration is really impressive for a 2.0 4 cylinder. Love the up gear change sounds too

Ok glad to hear that, I'll speak to @Clint@MMS AUTO about changing that for me when I go for my service next week. I'm sure he'll be able to help with that.

Now I just need to start figuring out where I can get a pair of HK tweeter front door corner pods+tweeters. Anyone wanting to sell me part numbers 51337269361 & 51337269362 for cheap or at least just the center dash HK tweeter (part 65139226358)? :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
