Anyone purchased this from BMW Connected Drive ?

I see it’s going for R5400 now.

Is it a perpetual licence or time limited? You need a head unit with Wifi for this to work but if it is being served to you, then you probably have it. Maybe check in with a dealer to do it so if anything goes south, you have a flesh and blood human to rectify it

It's a perpetual license, once off fee, for as long as you have the car. If you sell the car the subscription doesn't carry to your new car (if it's a BMW), you have to purchase again. I've done this twice now, on my M6 I purchased, and then again on the 760. Mine works via Bluetooth. You'll need to log into your car's iDrive with your BMW account, and it'll pull through CarPlay. If you're not logged in, then CarPlay will not reflect on your system when you're in the car.

In my opinion, worth it.

Thanks bro. I’ve purchased it. It’s not reflecting yet shows active on the app. How do I log in on the iDrive ?

Ok sorted, had to force the update of the services. Delete my phone and reconnect and it’s working.

Great news! You'll love the Car Play integration. Just make sure you got lots of data loaded, all I use is YouTube music and it munches my data.

Checking back on this . Mind me if this is a dumb question - if I purchase the Apple car play and link to my BMW account - Will it work for other drivers as well if they drive the car?

Yes it will. I purchased mine the same way and it works for all phones.
