Did you have to remove the tailpipes? Mind sharing details on the process?

I didnt need to remove the tail pipes. I did remove the Diffuser which gave me full access to the tail pipes, rear exhaust boxes and some of the pipes. I painted all that black.

I used Rust-o-leums (spelling) high heat, spray paint. Took me about 30 minutes.

Got some pics on my phone, will upload later. Cant find the cable...

Tips look great, I resisted the urge to do mine when I sprayed my callipers/hubs gloss black. Since my car is already black, I think black tips on my car would be a bit much. Seeing yours is making me rethink that

Thanks NavZ...

After 2 days off driving, this is what they look like. Pic was taken while car was on, so you might be able to see the puff of Satan.

And dust all over... :thumbdo:

I have used that Rust-Oleum stuff before...it`s a very good quality product and does seem to just last and last

Rounds off the car nicely, when are the wheels getting done?

10.7 is not that bad for the Evoque. Its heavier than the E90...

Yeah, it was R100 for the can of paint. But i will gladly pay for the quality. When i first did the 335i tail pipe setup, i painted the stock exhaust box with the Rust-Oleum gloss back, wasnt even high heat or anything and it lasted. Looked good also.

Thanks Executer... Wheels will get done when i get a set of stock 17's so i can put the semi slicks on. Will roll with those while the X5's get painted.

Hi Guys,

Pic by one of the photographers at the Breakfast run yesterday:

No real updates. However, she just ticked over the 170 000km mark over the weekend so im going to send her in for some Preventative maintenence soon. Starting off with an Oil and filters change. Then, a good go through in terms of suspension.

Looking good as always. The black exhaust tips are just awesome.

Are you making the X5 wheels black or charcoal?

Thanks Morne... The black exhaust tips got messed with the pressure washer this weekend, some may have seen on Sunday they where peeling. Need to sand them down and primer, then paint again.

Yes, X5 wheels will get a lick or 2 of paint. In charcoal or whatever the colour of your M3 wheels are.
