Hello again,
Its that time of the year when the 330d excels at transporting and commuting. Not a beat missed, she held on for hours on the road, in blistering heat through torrential storms and the sea air/due.
This year, again, family and I had to head down to Durban for a wedding on the 14th of December. My wife and daughter flew down the week before, i drove down on the 13th all alone. 1 tank of 10ppm Sasol, averaged 6.7L/100km as i was driving through the night and the roads where very quiet.
I was chatting with Yulz via Whatsapp before i left for Durban and arranged for my car to be pampered at OCD Detailing. Yulz fetched the car on Friday evening and started preparing for the detail the next day. I was kept in the loop throughout the day. The car was then delivered to me at my gran's place. I was amazed... I kept the car in great condition (if i may say so myself) but i was really impressed when i saw it after Yulz and Kyle where done. The paint looked wet, the interior looked fresh and the engine looked new. As soon as i saw it, i cancelled the viewing of the 2 cars i had planned to see and possibly trade the 330d in for one of them. Thanks Yulz, the job was sterling and you have a happy if not ecstatic client. I will give Yulz the privilege of explaining what was done and what was used.
Pics after the detail:
Above was the as soon as i took delivery...
The rest where the day after, after being driven...
Reflections:
Will post more soon... Sorry for the Crappy cellphone pics!
Headed back home today, ended up driving though some crazy rain yet when i reached the BP 1km away from home to buy bread this is what the 330d looked like. I had not washed the car since Tuesday...
Overall, consumption spiked in Durban due to some spirited driving. Upon arriving at home, i had just less than half tank and a range of 552km remaining. 6.2L/100km was the overall trip average. Aircon on most of the time, the trip back was a full boot with 3 passengers and my 3 year old.
Epic 2 week break... Now to get back into routine!
Enjoy
