I've also been looking around to do the following upgrades but my heart can't handle the motorplan delete that comes with it :(

1. Resonator delete
2. Software upgrade (which i presume is a stage 1)

Reason i'm looking at this is, there are times where the car is like almost dead on take off in Sport+ and then you also just gotta hear that V8 in all its glory (Standard M Exhaust valves do open in Sport+ but still soft for a V8)
Considering the mishaps you have had and the car going in multiple times, it's not worth it. Thought maybe even if a jb4 was a lesser option, it's still a pita to remove and install everytime the car goes in.

This is exactly the reason i've canned the idea. Just don't want to chance it. They had to replace the gear lever and that thing was R18k. Will rather wait for Feb 2027 and trade it in for either an M5 Comp or M8 Comp Grand coupe.

So an update on riding around. Went for a breakfast run this past weekend. Low and behold, met another M550i owner there that just got his 2 weeks prior but i did not see him run with the group. All i can say is fun was had, lots of it. Found a link where a guy in a GTI was videoing. Check the comments lol. Man, would soo have loved a little louder exhaust :ROFLMAO:

Hows it peeps. So the beast went on another breakfast run however this time around i was not the driver as a sound comp to attend (built a VW Mk1 with some serious sound for comps). So the SO took my son and off they went chopping up the tar. The comments on youtube speak for itself as to what this beast does. I'm just loving how this car is an absolute sleeper as no one expects it can do what it does.
