Service Record after motorplan

My car is a 2011 F10 with 231000 km on the clock, when I log into the BMW dashboard it shows my last service was 2016/09/xx, the last service during motorplan.
After that I kept servicing at BMW Menlyn, so when I want to trade in my car, they look in the service book, and not a single stamp, ever.

Luckily, I kept ALL receipts, but I always assumed it will show 'on the system', but even when I ask at the service counter, they tell me that 2016 was the last service...

Anyways, any idea what the recall campaign is about, I stumbled upon it by chance today?

Cheers

Strange that the service counter told you that. As long as you have been servicing at bmw dealerships, they should be able to pull your service record from reading the key.

Only the dealer that serviced the car will have records on their system - its common for the service book not to be stamped.

Most guys (myself included) keep the invoices in a Flip File with other records for the car.

on later F series models - services at the dealer is saved on the iDrive (you generally have to ask them to update it)

Regarding the Recall Campaign - likely the drivers airbag

NGL, after they moved to the new location few years back, they lost that friendly vibe, its full-on corporate now, stiff, no small talk, just pay and go.

I service my Cars at Midrand BMW, Northcliff BMW and BMW Fourways, all those dealers have access to my key/service record. They just read the info on the key and can print all the services done during motor plan and after. Only services that were done at the BMW dealership. I have printed out the info from all three when the time wasters requested service info when selling my 320d. Even went in with one guy from this forum as he wanted proof :)

My X5///M, at the dealer in vaal pulled service history for me , from all the BMW dealer it went to, from in plan and after out of plan and different owners. So it all will depend on who helps you at the dealer. And yes all of this was taken off the key and not from the book.

Should also be saved on your vehicles iDrive. most dealers dont update it unless you ask for it to be done.
i have made sure that every service they have done for me is updated on there, they have missed it a few times but made sure someone done it for me before i leave.
