going over the tugela, first time, low water bridge, one direction at a time
holiday035.jpg

at a t junction in the middle of nowhere, had to laugh, wife saw a saps officier, and asked for directions,he asked where we were from and my wife said pretoria, the look on his face was priceless,

about 50km from the t-junction

total garage in eshowe, arrow is where we were and just above that is the area we drove through,we turned off 20km before kranskop,so whole area between there and red arrow,ziged-zaged,

going over the tugela river, second time,on the n2 back towards durban.

Scenery reminded me of the Lowveld. Winter is the best time to visit there, because in summer it can be 8+30 degrees.

Lovely photos....love the north coast......grew up in the lower Tugela area and lived close to the mighty river until I finished high school. Went to the river almost daily back then. I was also fortunate enough to watch that river in its full strength back in the 80's and how it took out the John Ross bridge....case of now you see it.....now you dont....with some vehicles on it!

North Coast and a BMW = Awesome Road Trip

Love the North Coast from Zinkwazi Beach towards Richards Bay......if you know the roads and drive carefully...you can reach some pretty good speeds (but watch for the KZN Traffic dudes - they are really serious about trapping).

That is a stunning trip to do. Nice pix, brings back memories. Good fuel consumption on the sedan, which i assume had plenty luggage as well. Thx for sharing.
