Then this basically kills the entire claim that he messed up on the sensors. Thanks for the feedback!Hi Guys,
Just to be clear, as many have already mentioned, Ashley read the car sent us a stock read and datalog. There was also a downpipe fitted by Ashley.
Thereafter we replied with our Stage 2 map which he loaded sent a datalog done on the road.
Another revision was sent back, which he loaded as logged again. All was in order and there were no issues at this point visible in the logs or brought to our attention.
With regards to the map surpressing fault codes. The only code suppressed is for the decat which is Catalyst Inefficiency (180001)
We do have a new agent in Cape Town who's been operating for years the industry and has been servicing our customers then there October 2025.

Do you guys mind sharing some info on the new Agent? Selfies, BIO, location etc for everyone on here in Cape Town. Maybe a new Thread so we don't derail this one![]()
Given your response I really do not understand how the car developed gremlins induced by the mechanic?Hi Guys,

Agreed, however Fender liner and cowl covers don't just come off unless there was some harsh pressure to remove these items. Fender liners are removed on purpose for repairs or suspension failure or pothole etc.No, Only the one side was missing. Im sure covers do go missing.
Im only the 2nd owner of the car and had a check done, full report from BMW and inspection done on the car before purchasing. Pretty sure it has not
I never really go off reviews because I have noticed everything is based on personal experiences.I’ve been trying to keep up with this thread and noticed a few comments referring to my earlier reply to the OP — some almost baiting me to share more about my experience. My experiences date back to late 2022 and early 2023, I don’t have proof, and I’m mindful that this could derail the OP’s topic.
When I was new to Cape Town and knew I’d eventually start modding my car, I also knew I’d need a reputable workshop. Being part of this community, I had high regard for Xcede Performance based on the positive feedback and work shared by forum members.
That said, customer experience ultimately shapes the level of comfort (or discomfort) someone has when deciding to entrust future business to a workshop. I have nothing personal against the former Xcede CPT — I had my experience, drew my own conclusions, and moved on. Based on the OP’s post (again, debatable and open to strong counter-arguments), I can’t say I was entirely surprised given my own experience. If we want to be precise, this is simply my opinion, and there’s probably little value in dwelling on experiences from over three years ago.
At the end of the day, everyone shares their views in the interest of the community. From my perspective as a potential long-term customer, my few experiences just didn’t leave the best impression, which is ultimately why I chose to move elsewhere.
