E46 and their compostable cooling systems...

It seems mine likes to copy yours, have noticed the last week or so (or since its been cold) that it takes a good 10min for my guage to get to the middle, will check the digital readout to confirm what happens on longer trips.

Thank you also for pointing me in the direction of the boot struts, didnt realise how incomplete my life has been all this time, lifting the boot like a peasant. Now I just touch the release button and it magically arises. Luxurious, and all for R160!

mine told yours she just got a New Bottle, Cap and Thermostat and she feeling great.

now yours faking a limp cause she also wants. LOL

So damn worth it.
I check monthly With bmw on what E46 stuff are on sale so will share the list once there is.
I need a Spare expansion tank now since i used mine, Its current R2100 for new one. so need to come down allot

Last time I bought one from bmw it was cheaper than goldwagen at like +-700

yeah, was R1200 when i got. GW that time was R1100 for Febi.
So i bought 2. Used the last one last week so need another. lol

Boot Handle decided to kick the bucket few weeks ago.
Sikaflexed it in place to help hold it so i could order a new Handle.

Regrettably, the boot handle for touring is NLA at Dealer.

I did manage to order new seals for the boot handle as bmw still sell these and mine is practically non-existant and not re-usable.
so i ordered 2 ( Like keeping spares )

now to find a Replacement, Second-hand boot handle thats Not Cracked or broken by the screw holes.




Battery also starting to show signs of it dieing.
Got stuck in seapoint last night, Luckly was on sligh incline so i could Kick start it.

Will get the alternator/Battery tested this Afternoon

Trunk lid grip with key button - 51137170963 (This is complete Handle)
Gasket, trunk lid grip - 51138185791 (CHEAP)

Only see for Sedan unfortunately.
No touring handles.

BimmerWorld, ECStuning etc all listed as "not available" or "on back order. No ETA"
Second hand seems to be the only option right now
