Hey all. Im frany a 21 year old bmw enthusiast. Got my bmw advanced hi performance driveing course certificate love bmw m cars. Had a e12 m535i modded by RGM after that a 333i alphina turbo. Then the e34 facelifted 525im with diblas itb's performance chip m3 us spec cams and borla exhaust. Im no stranger to hi performance cars and in the market for a well kept e39 m5. Pref one with the 16:9 display whth satnav and tv and m tech steering wheel and sound. Any idea where to look ?

Welcome to the forums and good luck with the hunt for the M5 - they're truly awesome cars. I think you'll need to look for a 2002/3 model with the newer steering wheel - and AFAIK, the 16:9 HUD units came as an optional extra. Check my signature for pics of mine and lemme know if that's what you're looking for :=):

Absa sais age of car not so good so they wont. Also looking at one that has 230kw on the wheels. Nt to shure abt 100hp loss to wheels does that engen sound gaar or is it normal ?

Finance wise, I financed my M5 though WesBank and I'm very happy. Because it's an old car you will pay more, otherwise the next best bet is to take out a personal loan.

There is a blue m5 on auto trader for 165k. Sais its got the dvd install does that mean its got the 16:9 display ? Also if i want to fit the m tech wheel it should be plug and play right ? Same for angel eyes lights ?

Welcome Frany. You cannot remove the armour. The DVD and SAT NAV were available for both displays. Steering wheels should be interchangeable, but not sure about the headlamps, but think they are as they are both Xenons anyway. Good luck with your search, they are awesome cars. :thumbs:
