Had to google this quickly had no idea what the hell that was... looks good though overal. Comparing it to a non M predecessor is just a weak ass move. The xLine looks nice than the Msport though... maybe in person might change my opinion.

The interlayers act as a noise dampening core, weakening the sound as it travels through the glass. Interestingly, by varying the thickness of the sheets of glass, even better sound insulation can be achieved. They make it sound like acoustic glass is some new revolutionary technology, meanwhile its been in use on 7 series models since the E38.

I honestly think they should make the flagship model a diesel as anyone who has owned a petrol SUV before know it's the wrong engine for such a big heavy vehicle and know that a petrol engine in a 1800kg barge is going to be a serious fuel guzzler. 95% of these new X3 models sold will be either the 2.0lt or 3.0lt diesel models so why not cater for 95% of your market by adding a hot diesel variant. Instead they catering for the 5% that will soon realize their engine choice error and trade it in a diesel anyway...

When I went for the tour at Rosslyn the guy said the 3 series will be taken away so they can start building X1s and X3s in SA due to market needs as we (Africa) have more need/use for SUVs than 3 series because bad roads, untarred roads etc. The majority of the 3er built at Rosslyn were being sold to the Americas and we in turn imported the Xs which makes no sense...
