Very nice car! I have my 320d for three months now and it has been amazing. I like that head unit, where did you get it?

Congrats on the lovely car man, I hope you have many safe miles!

If I may ask, where did you purchase the spoiler? And what did it cost? Also I recently fitted Phillips extreme vision bulbs and the difference is quite noticeable, I paid R375 at the local midas. I want to change the "angel eyes" as well but the yellow seems to have grown on me :fencelook:

So what do I do, I purchased a lip... This was designed for the exclusive bumper, I had thought about going with splitters but decided with the car being high, a full lip will give the front a lower appearance.

Whilst there are a few options out there, I wanted something similar to the H style lip, as I didn't want something over the top.. I've seen some questionable lips on the E90 exclusive whilst doing my homework. Coupled with this, I decided to have the kidney grills sprayed gloss black to match the lip and I had the foglight inserts sprayed in silver, to break up the front end a bit.

Okay, so take II after the recent forum downtime and lost updates… Attended the BMWFanatics Dyno Day a few weeks ago. Seeing as though I’ve already dyno’d the 330i twice, I wanted to get a feel of what the stock power figures were like on the ‘d’, before I went ahead and did any mods to the car. Got the car washed and headed over early to help the gents set up before the crowd started to gather. Was great to catch up with the gents and get a good look at the cars on the day – some real monsters, I gave them the opportunity to break the dyno in, before I hit the rollers.

Added a set of BMWFanatics stickers before I could get the car on, just so I could get the extra 5wkw’s that were promised.. Over all, having had a look at the other diesels in the class, I was pretty impressed with the figures on a stock car (especially for an automatic), as I was expecting somewhere closer to 115wkw and 315wnm. @Kyle, your car is damn impressive for a stocker!

I had also collected some black out vinyls for the badges on the car, as I prefer the black and white roundels, as a matter of personal preference, ever since my first set on the 330i back in 2014. Shout out to @Riaad for supplying these. I couldn’t wait to get them on the car, so the next morning I headed up to the parking area and took some time to get them applied.

I wanted to get a Downpipe done on the car when I had purchased it, given that the car does a very short run during the week and I was worried about the DPF getting blocked. I also hated the droopy tail piece, so I wanted to have that swopped out for a set of dual pieces. The following weekend I had taken the car to Roadmaster exhausts to have a Downpipe fitted along with @Riaad, on the advice of many fanatics. I had my arm twisted to fit a DP plus a complete stainless steel system by Calvin.

I then decided to have a morrit mod done to dump the fumes before they hit the tail pieces. This piece of work isn’t a hundred percent and I need to find time to go back to Calvin to have this rectified. My first follow up interaction via phone, leaves much to be desired, regarding his after sales service. Let's hope it gets better..

I was told that the straight pipe wouldn’t be too loud, but I can say with certainty that it is an acquired taste --> The car is loud! I ended up taking my stock exhaust home, just in case I need to revert to stock. That said, I have since acquired said taste and have been REALLY enjoying the car with the exhaust, my fuel consumption is out the window as a result.. Although 7.5l/100km on the mixed cycle really isn’t worth complaining about.

For now, this brings me up to the current status on the car.. I need to get some things done, including some maintenance and then a few more mods, funds permitting.. :ty:

Nice update. Upload some videos so that we can hear the exhaust.

PS. No DPF in the South African models as per the diesel gurus, on the forum, that I've spoken to. Your cat would've been removed... *the more you know*

Not too sure about the aftersales on Roadmasters. I hadn't had any issues and will be taking the gal there to, either, remove the muffler, so that it's straight piped, or will go with a full exhaust. Need to hear your car before I can make this decision though...

I have however found his prices, whilst negotiable, does not correlate to other quotes and pricing that was given out to other people, for similar, or the same, work.

@Subloaded, no need for a video when you can have a joyride.. What's your take on the straight-piped noisemaker, after the spin..? :roflol:

You obviously know the car has an exhaust from the time you hit the start button, but at the moment I'm enjoying it too much to put a silencer on.. :fencelook:

@Riaad, I also feel slightly bigger wheels will complete the look.. Hopefully I can get around to that soon, the wheels are already lying in wait.. Fully refurbed and all :smilebounce:

@StrollingCoal, you mean the splitter on the front. I purchased this from Icon Motorsport.. Two finishes available, gloss black and carbon.

Have you done any mods on yours yet.. :fencelook:

Yep I was refering to the splitter :smilebounce: thanks for that heads up

Nope not yet... :fencelook: BUT i'm in the process of getting DP quotes :cartel: hopefully this will happen end of the month. Speaking about DP's...how loud is yours? I can't seem to decide if I want a straight pipe or atleast leave 1 box in

This thing is loud af :roflol: Very fun-like sound. If you didn't know any better you'd think that there is a massive truck or tractor coming at you full force :roflol:

Like the intake and dumping sounds as well that seems to be more prominent now.

Car pulls very well. Hard to believe that it's stock actually. Very torquey.

We must race

@StrollingCoal, hahaha... If you see @Subloaded's response, you will know its pretty damn loud with a straight pipe.. I will actually need to put a silencer in at some point, my entire family says the car is too loud :roflol:

the Stock system with DP sounds more or less the same inside the cabin with normal driving, outside its bit more "throaty" for the lack of a better word :hammerhead:

There is a noticeable grunt once the revs hit 3k rpms though ...but nowhere as loud as the noise maker in this thread :biglol:

@KPM_330 considering that I drive pretty conservatively with a bit of hooning now and then, the idea of DP and back box is quite appealing.

P.S you should post a video :fencelook:
