Hi gents

Traded in my Golf 7 GTI today. The GTI served me very well for almost 3 years and it was a car that I enjoyed. For me it’s one of the perfect daily all rounders.

I was looking for something different that was fun, unique, powerful and had some killer looks (well to me).

So after some shopping around and various options I finally picked up my Supra today.
Say what you want with all the mixed views around the BMW involvement and it not doing justice to the Supra name, once I drove this car, none of that mattered.
I simply love this car for what it is; German engine, drivetrain and other bits with a Japanese body is a win in my books.

Here are some pictures:

Congrats man, wishing you many safe kms with it.

B58 life is a whole different experience, especially when you come from a 2.0 4 cylinder car. Last year I traded in my 320i for an M240i, and I can honestly say, once you go inline 6, there's no turning back to 4 cylinder.

Thanks man. Will post a review once I’ve managed to do some decent mileage. Still working from home so not getting a chance to really experience the car.

Thanks bud. I agree I missed the 6 cylinder life, went from my M135i to the GTI. So happy that I’m back, and for it to be a B58 just makes the experience even better.

So finally managed to do 1000kms while still working from home. The last month and a bit with the Supra has been amazing, even though the use has been mostly for short distances couple times a week.

Love this car with no regrets. It’s quite a usable everyday car (well when it’s just the wife and I). Very comfortable for daily use with a decent boot that allows sufficient space for shopping, etc.

To date I have done full frontal PPF, ceramic coating and anti smash and grab tint.

Contemplating lowering and wheels but still deciding on the perfect combo.

Here are some pics post the PPF and tint.

Hey all
This week I fitted my H&R springs. Very happy with the stance and think a nice set of 20” rims will complete the look perfectly, or even spacers with the stock wheels. Contemplating a wheel colour change as the hunt continues for the right wheel.
Thanks

Awesome, looks great.

What is the ride like now in comparison?

Definitely agree that spacers will bring the wheels out, but if you planning to change rim maybe a waste as may get a wider rim from the get go?

Compared to stock, ride is slightly more bouncy but feels more planted in hard cornering. This is based on very minimal driving since installation and only time will tell if it’s a manageable mod.

I’ve never driven a car that was not lowered apart from my F30 320i, and to date the ride on the Toyota is very very acceptable. Only on really bad road surfaces it’s a tad uncomfortable which it was while stock as well.
