Thanks guys.....Really enjoying the car up until yesterday.

I brought the car home on Thursday and when i switched it off i saw the oil warning light on. So i checked and the oil was on minimum. Called them and said to bring it back.

So i dint drive the car at all and took it back there on Saturday morning. Complained saying the car was in for quality check and how they dint pick it up. So anyway they filled oil and i was on my way.

Wanted to go to randburg yesterday and when i started the car this thing was missing like crazy. Sounded like the compression was off. The whole car was shuddering. Tried switching it on and off still same thing.

So i call bmw on call and they said they coming to tow it to Centurion BMW. Right then and there i was pissed cos i hate centurion BMW. But anyway had no choice. After 10 min i tried starting it again and it was fine......
So called them and told them its fine and dont worry about it i will drive it to JHB City Auto this morning myself.

So anyway what you guys think it could be? Doesnt mean its fine now that i should leave it. What could be the issue?

Maybe a dodgy coil pack! I agree, they should have picked up on the low oil level and topped up. Or for that matter advised you - the problem is that you have to wait for the electronic dipstick to get to the a 1 ltr level before topping up. When last was the car serviced?

This way you can try and gauge what sort of mileage it has done for this oil consumed...

BMW says that the cam shaft bolt broke.....Dont know what that is but will be ready to pick up today.

Car is due for service in another 4 000 km.....
