Went through the entire thread.
Beautiful machine you have there.
Coming from you that means a lot bru, your E36 M3 is an epic example of this iconic automobile. Your thread inspired me to do a few extra things to my ///Mistress :ty:
So it's been a while since I've had anything to update with regards to the ///Mistress. But about a month back now she decided to give me the biggest scare I've had since owning her, not sure if there is such a thing within a lifespan of a car, but the ///Mistress had her period and spilt all or most of her oil all over my work places parking lot. Thankfully I wasn't doing outrageous speeds on our national roads, so nothing was hurt, she was towed to her spiritual home, APS, and later that Monday I received this pic and the reason for the epic oily mess the ///Mistress created in the parking lot...

The recently fitted oil line from the aftermarket oil cooler came loose, it seems that it was over tightened when bumper was put back by the panelbeaters:blueCry:
So with my mind at ease and feeling inspired by a certain fanatics thread of another E36 M3, I decided to get a few things fitted, upgraded and fixed.
I'll let the pics do the talking now...
1st up a part that has been laying in my parts room for almost a year now and instantly the my 5 speed has become a 6 speed:skit:

and another interior upgrade that's long overdue...

Then a vid of a simple but necessary fix
Then out the with the slighty bent and in with the straight, and look at the attention to detail APS gives parts, other mechanics would just fit the part, not APS, first a coat of black spray, then it's ready to be fitted...

This fix/mod/refurb was inspired by Elton_LV's thread of his beautiful E36 M3.

And what a difference it has made:rollsmile: I would recommend any owner of an old fuel injected vehicle to have their injectors cleaned and flow tested. The ///Mistress is a lot more responsive now and the slight ping I would get at really low revs has all but disappeared, fuel consumption has also improved tremendously:rollsmile: :ty: Elton_LV
So with such a beautiful outer shell, the tired engine bay was letting the ///Mistress down and seeing that cylinder head tappet cover needed to be removed to fit the newly purchased cylinder head tappet cover gasket, a trip to spraypainter was in order...

Nice and neat back where it belongs:rollsmile:

Now my ///Mistress is ready for the summer car shows in Cape Town, hopefully she'll add to the trophy she won earlier this year:blowheart:
Once again a big thank you must go out to Paul Bright and Anton Slabbert from FCC/APS for taking such good care of the ///Mistress and to Nick from Nickyboy Sprayworks for the phenomenal job once again on the cylinder head tappet cover. The ///Mistress wouldn't have come this far without the love and attention you guys have given her:ty:
Thanks for looking:chef:
