Yes I'm in Cape Town, my car is @ Amlay's Auto in Ottery. I'm just having touch ups done with a full flat & buff, they quoted me R3500 for a full respray they said 15k.

Base coat paint ain't cheap therefore don't expect anything under 7k for a full respray

You are a better man than me I wont lie! I got rid of mine as the amount of stuff that needed to be done was astronomical, the money it was costing me was coming close to what I paid for the car so eventually I gave up!

This M3 of yours is really going to look beautiful when done, and the paint job looks like it will help big time and its nice to see that they are spraying it properly, mine got sprayed so badly that paint started chipping off in 7cm chunks while driving!

Where are the badges on the wheels??? those are the only thing at this point that are realling letting the look of this car go down!

Can't wait to see the final product when completed, keep us updated!!

Thanks for kind words bru.

This is the 1st time I've gone to this panelbeater and impressed with their workmanship is an under statement. Awesome customer service and even better workmanship.

Those wheel badges are in my draw at home, so once I take her home I will put them back on

Hey Fanatics

So it's been a while since I updated my thread, there has been progress, slow but progress none the less...

Got the car bk from the panelbeaters about 3 weeks ago, very happy with the work that was done, but like my previous video showed my ///Mistress was "letting off" some stream through the exhaust, so from the panelbeater she went straight back to the mechanics workshop for head gasket replacement:cry:

IMG-20121024-00008.jpg

Engine block with no head, as u can see little bits of corrosion because of the years of standing

IMG-20121024-00010.jpg

This gasket has seen better days

IMG-20121024-00009.jpg

Head off & ready to go to the engineers for a slight skim & compression test

And yes there is more, some really good news:joy:

Out with the old

In with the new

Nothing completes a E36 M3 than a set of VADERS!!!

Thanks for looking and yes I know, will post pictures of the entire car soon:thumbs:
