I was also looking at fitting the front lip but this is what I was afraid would happen because my driveway and the work basement parking have very aggressive approach angles.

The OEM lip is excellent quality and will easily survive the odd scrape here and there

Well done Mo... looks very very slick.

Wrt the coding, I've a few vids where theres a slight delay between the inner and outer indicators... making it look sequential... might be worth looking at... seems cool

Thanks bud, yip ive seen that , can also be done with bimmercode quite easy.
the coding required is for the inner indicators to work, the outers are fine but the inners require manual coding or wire taping to trick.

Yeah Thankfully.. although I'm stumped as to how it happen, I Left Durban and all was fine , this pic was taken when I stopped halfway, I didn't hear or hot anything, quite baffling!
For the piece to be on the ground at halfway, its probable that someone damaged it at halfway?

Ok so ever since I got the car I had been searching high and low for OEM 20inch Style 405 wheels but they were scarce, as in hens teeth scarce , I opted to go for the reps instead, 9.5j rears sat nice and fat but I just wasn't feeling it, I sold them and I was thinking style 373s but since I couldn't find those either i opted to go with brand new Michelin PS 3 runflats on my original style 403s , I can confirm these tyres are just epic!!, handling, braking and general feedback has dramatically improved, as luck would have it ,2 days after spending R16000 on a set new tyres (sick feeling) I found an OEM set of style 405s, I just had to do it. Will fit them on today, I realy cant wait :smilebounce::smilebounce:

Awesome. This wheel looks epic on the 1er and 3er.

The reps just don't do justice :dunnoanymore:

Really impressed with the consumption on my drive to the coast last weekend.
I averaged 5.4 going down, but took a back road coming back which was pretty much stop go for about 300km.
also lots of stop go in Durban.
not at all bad for a 3.0l with an autobox.
excluding electric cars , I'm really keen to know what equivalents are out there when it comes to power vs consumption??

These cars are really frugal on the open road.

Granted that mine isn't stock, on my last trip to Durban I averaged 5.4 L/100km going down and I was definitely not cruising

So I got updated maps this weekend.
the 2013 version was really out dated and got me taking longer routes at times.

So with the few days off , I decided to finally get down and do the LCI radio trim mod
i ordered the OEM trim from ABM and got the Y cable off of eBay
besides the gloss black trim looking much better and modern , it also has a backlight LED with 2 colours.
can be switched with the ambient light setting in the menu, Classic is orange or white in sport

Looks pretty cool at night.
