Full exhaust with one box & custom front mount bigger intercooler done 🚀
This is something that I contemplated doing for a long time. Did quite a bit of research and spoke to a few bmw fanatics members, car enthusiast’s and bmw fundi’s. Decided to not go with straight pipe and have one box and extremely glad with the outcome.
The daily drive is amazing and very OEM +/Petrol sounding and only when really give it on the throttle do you hear that full send! There is no drone which is something I was concerned about as these G01s 30Ds B57 are fairly new to the performance modification world and not many out there that have done a full exhaust far as I know. Will try upload some videos and clips to share the amazing sound! However in person and in motion it’s even better! A deep throaty roar that is not over bearing but just perfect! Shoutout to Eastside Automotive (Keegan) for coming through on this job. It has been around 4 months since doing this mod and I’m very happy. The price was also really good and competitive compared to other quotes as I was a price sensitive customer.
The freeflow is amazing and 6 cylinders feel even more opened up now especially on top end. Another key reason for doing the full exhaust was not wanting the black soot anymore on my rear bumper and mostly on the entire back side of the vehicle. G01 is far too classy and it wasn’t a good look. The downturns work exceptionally well and the bumper and rear has been black smoke free ever since. No ways I was going to consider a milder tune - feel free to not insert why your tuner could make the same power with less smoke etc etc , I’m quite happy with the file and how the car runs especially with the gains on my stock turbo

The bigger intercooler also made a nice difference which I could definitely feel along with the full exhaust - did those more as a preventative mod to ensure better cooling and lower intake temps with reduced heat soak. One could also say in preparation or as motivation for stage 3! As it’s definitely one of the future long term goals for this car (turbo systems stage 3 or 4) ~300wkw & 900nm as a daily with x drive 🤤
This car now puts an even bigger smile on my face when driving and I have a sense of pride when arriving anywhere close to my destination with people knowing I having arrived lol. Some may call it “annoying” or “childish” to that I say “REVV ON”
Last but not least the most amazing super aggressive downshifts can now be heard with this full exhaust set up due to XHP stage 3 gearbox flash @Xcede Performance 🔥 upshifts are nice too but the downshifts are not for the faint hearted!

The mods done here are so tasteful and well chosen and I myself, having just bought a facelift x3 under plan, this is inspirational. To watch some1 undertake such a journey on this car, once the plan has lapsed, is phenomenal. Good job

Thanks! Appreciate the kind words. She sounds like a resting beast /OEM + kind of like a x3 40i in my opinion until she doesn’t. The K&N drop in panel filter added a nice touch! Turbo spool and dumping sound is quite nice when fluctuating the throttle

***LCI rear tail lights upgrade***
I promise that these mods were not all done in the last week 🤣 it has just been many months (almost a year) of being busy and between family, work, and other priorities my thread and updates definitely fell behind.
Now that I am enjoying some paternity leave it’s been a pleasure updating you guys with progress made so far.
This next one is indeed going to make you look twice or thrice 🔥 it completes the rear perfectly and adds that extra special unique touch that I quite enjoy that sets this x3 apart and only a few true bmw lovers will fully appreciate @Rennzsport came through and delivered as promised. These actually came of his car and I patiently awaited his new set to arrive so I could fit these. Firi made the fitment seem so easy and himself loved the outcome and paid me a modest compliment.
The 40i rear diffuser which came with the car really was a blessing in disguise but not so much the OEM tail pieces that didn’t quite fill the space for the tailpipes. Hence getting the correct ones supplied by @Rennzsport and fitted by @TMSS @Nishen@tmss made this final touch a slam dunk.
It’s a 30D G01 2018 year model with a 40i diffuser and upgraded rear LCI taillights. Not something you will see everyday.
