Something isn't right with your headlights, The shrouds need to be pushed back as the magnifying glass of your projector is not popping out like it should, The seem to be hidden on the inside and it looks like it has a gaping hole! You might even be loosing allot of light output because of this.

Other than that, Well done the car is looking awesome!

With regards to putting the motorsport bumpers, I would definitely do that! It makes a massive difference to the look of the car.

M-Sport Bumpers would finish it off nicely. And then you can colour code it, you won't regret it.

Haha, won't it just be easier to buy yours then??

What do you suggest I do?
How's your car? Found a 6mt yet?
I already have the front and rear bumpers, all that's missing is the side skirts

Software does make the world of difference you will love the power jump and the economy.
Just look after her check ll the goodies that are known to be weak
1 front suspension bushes and arm
2 Gearbox if auto will usually give drama from 100k onwards but can be avoided with oil changes even though its bloody expensive oil and bmw swears you never need to change it .
3 put a small 2 stroke oil in tank every second tank keeps injectors happy
4 ENJOY HER mines on 183ooo km and i love it

I think you will find my car lacking in torque compared to yours.

It's packed with old tech aswell, I mean who watches analogue TV these days? :biglol:

The shrouds are made by idiots who don't know how to measure anything properly, probably some fong kong crap! So you need to reshape them, The way I did this was to push them in and see where they are touching and then sand them down on that edge and do this over and over till it fits perfectly.

My car is fokked haha, the gearbox packed up, It's with Gizmo at the moment getting a 6 speed manual conversion done, I would suggest you do the same if you want to do software because its not nice getting stuck when your on the other side of the world! The gearbox is only rated to handle 380nm..(Which is less than what the car made in its stock form) The car with software and downpipe + decat was making over 600nm so gearbox said its good byes.

The sideskirts on the M-Sport models are noticeably more aggressive. There's more of a prevalent crease in the shape that gives off the illusion of a lower centre of gravity.

Looks like quite the adventure.

How did the X5 fair over the rough stuff?

Yes it was.
The roads weren't too rough so it faired quite well, a bit bumpy on dirt roads but no squeaks misbehaving etc.
I really tested the Xdrive system to the tee in Mozambique and there the dunes could not stop it.
I towed a D4D once :joy:
So ya the X5 is good for the light stuff, but rock climbing and clay are big nonos.
Proof of how much I enjoy this car is where it's taken me, I have a new found confidence and just want to explore.
Bought it in Jan and in 4 short months I've picked up 13000kms.
Mozambique, Durban X2, San lameer, Wild coast, drakensberg and I know it won't end here.
It can go where the roads end and it does it in true BMW style.
Effortless power, comfort, class and efficiency!!

People complain that the X5 could do with Low/High range options, but lets be honest, that's the only good use for Toyota. :fencelook:
I love my X5 :inlove: :joy:
