Some Buggy Build updates :)

Pan back from media blasting. The floors had been cut out for replacing due to rust damage. We're going all out on this one!

Poor modification before resulted in broken tacks so the front end was "flopping around". Needless to say it's no problem for the crew at AutoMC to sort out. Also, some more parts back from the blasters. This project is taking shape nicely :)

We had to strengthen the pan tube where it was originally shortened by welding in some bracing:

///Monster Buggy?

I see you're in CT... :fencelook:

My dad's cousin has a 740i (most likely an e32, so M60B40 V8 with 210 kW and 400 N·m) with a busted autobox; he's willing to negotiate.

... just a thought...

Our "Monster Beach Buggy" build is coming along nicely. A gorgeous colour by our new (ish) in-house body specialist is really looking good and bringing the project together.

I guess I should show you my beach buggy project since you showed me yours! :clapper:

Quick question. Who did you take your chassis to to have it blasted? Finished rebuilding mine from scratch (way stronger than the original) and need to have it blasted before I prime and top coat it. ( will dig out some pictures and start my own thread!!) :)

Serg,
We had it blasted, did all the work on it, had it galvanised and then powder coated. Give us a shout and we can advise on the best partners for this work.
