BMW M cars capture the imaginations of many globally. Part of the desirability of these cars is linked closer to the exotic colour palette that owners can choose from. Be it the lusty Techno Violet that adorned the E36 to the bold Signal Green that graces the current M4, M cars turn heads. The colour in this thread is the sumptuous Laguna Seca Blue. Mixed at the BMW factory with equal parts erotica and magic, this colour is cemented as one as the most unique and desirable colours available on the E46 M3.
Neesh (4Piper) brought through his beloved M3 in for some maintenance. The car was showing up some swirling that needed attention, but the car was ultimately in great nick from the last time I had given it a once over with the Black Fire Gloss Enhancing Polish and Black Fire Wet Diamond paint sealant.
We gave the car a bath:
I used the new Car Chem Snow Foam that I picked up at Crazy Detailer yesterday, and the pic above was taken almost at the end of the foam cycle :thumbsdo: it foamed pretty nicely, and forgot to take a pic of it while on the car in that state. I've yet to play around with the different dilutions, etc but from what I've seen thus far, it seems great!
During the wash, Shezaad played around with some water sheeting (drying a car with water) - something that was also put on show but Pravin and Neil at CD :bravo:
Once the wash and usual decontamination was done with a clay mitt, etc we set to work.
Our choice was Scholl S17+ on Spider Pads that gave us the right amount of correction and gloss:
An in process polishing pic
The car was turning out to be fantastic.
Once the polishing was out the way, the usual Auto Finesse Tough Prep came out to clean the paint, which was then topped with Auto Finesse Power Seal and finally finished off with Auto Finesse Passion.
At this point I'm just going to stop all the typing and let the the pics convey the rest:
Thank Yous:
- Thanks you Neesh for the opportunity
- Thanks to Gavin, Azhar and Shezaad for the help
- Thanks to you for taking a look
