Howzit Ladies and Gents
Time has surely flown, we are now planning an event to commemorate the 5th birthday of this once purely online family that has slowly developed into so much more.
So KZN folk, let us come together as we usually do but now in much larger numbers to celebrate the BMW family that we have become in this span of 5 years.
The following has been agreed with many members and discussed amongst the events committee regarding the birthday:
The actual birthday of BMWFanatics is Thursday the 8th of May so on that evening we will make a night of it in the usual KZN fashion, meeting at Engen Umgeni Rd at 9PM. We'll have a park off and meet & greet as usual until the SO's and our beds beckon.
On to the main event:
Date: Saturday 10 May
Time: 12pm
Venue: Blue Lagoon (Stiebel Place off Athlone Drive) - Behind Engen garage.
POA: We have secured a halaal caterer that will be preparing a spit braai for us and has also kindly thrown in crockery, utensils, linen and a buffet table. Each fanatic attending will need to confirm attendance by paying R60 a head which will cover the cost of the spit and subsidise our purchasing of rolls, colddrinks etc BUT this will not cover everything as we are catering for 50 people. It would be highly appreciated if each person attending can add their name to the list and also add what you would like to contribute toward the event.
e.g -
'1. Yulz (Paid x2) - 2 doz rolls and a 2l coke. + Gazebo and table.
2. Kish (Paid x2) - 2 packs sausages and a salad. + 3 chairs and gazebo.
3. Prevan (Paid x3) - 3 x 2l cokes and sauces. + 3 chairs and a table.'
You get the idea.
We would need salads, margarine, sauces, meat etc.
We are still going to have a braai for those who do not wish to have the spit or if we get more than 50 people in attendance so no shortage of food should be experienced. Also a braai for us vegetarians. So if you gents could also bring along some meat for the braai, we would be very grateful.
A further requirement is to please bring along camping chairs for yourselves and tables and gazebos if you have.
The event is open to one and all including wives, husbands, children, girlfriends and so on.
Just one big mingling session amongst all our members and friends.
We will be having a volleyball tournament on the day as well
Possibly a jumping castle for the little ones - kindly state if you are bringing the kiddies along so we can adequately cater for them too.
Now before the above is finalised, we would love your input and suggestions on making this event a huge success?
Planning has officially begun so please add your contributions and make payment ASAP.
Remember attendance is only confirmed with payment made and POP emailed to me.
