There are 68 cars in the convoy. If the 68 pitch and drive in convoy, does it mean the last 8 won't have space to park?

I will park out -cos I won't be there for long... So only 7 guys will need to fight for parking LOL

Shiraz, Thanks for the allocating BMWFanatics dedicated parking!

Guys,

We have 60 parking bays allocated to BMWFanatics, the Event Coordinators will point you to the parking, it is on a first come first service basis.

You will see our banners and Gazebo put up in our section. You are more than welcome to bring along you gazebo and camping chairs as well. There should be space for all of us.

So the guys with the BMWFANATICS stickers on their cars will have first option for parking :biglol:
They should put all same models next to each other it would look awesome

LOL - Yeah we cannot do that, many members do not have the BMWFanatics stickers on their cars for whatever reasons. We will see how it goes on the day. But, the convoy attendees will have preference until our space is full. Thereafter, if we can fit more, we will.

I will make the convoy..... But will only be able to stay for an hour or so at the Glen.... Will this be a problem?

I could always park out if need be....... More interested in the convoy anyways LOL

Yuben, we will try our very best to accomodate everyone. As you can see, the BMWFanatics event ends at The Glen, once we are parked, we are now attending the SA Beemer event. Like i said, we will try our very best to fit everyone, if there's no space i will park my car outside of the event to allow Fanatics space.

Meeting point 1 - 09:00am -
Crazy Detailer Store, Shop 8. WorldWear Center
Cnr. Beyers Naude Dr and Wilson Str
Fairland. Johannesburg.

Depart Crazy Detailer store at 10:00am sharp.
Cappuccinos and Muffins will be provided, courtesy of Crazy Detailer

Please print the map below as this will the route we will be using. Just in case you get lost.

Convoy Details:

Please note, we will be doing a Drivers brief at 10h00.

We will have 3 Zambesi Auto vehicles which will be used as our convoy leader, sweeper and last car.

We will use the second lane from the left (on a 4 lane highways), the lead car will travel between 100km/h and 110km/h. There is no rush, we have an hour to do 30km. Please follow the Zambesi Auto car unless requested otherwise on the day.

Once we are at The Glen, the event coordinators will provide instructions on where to park.​

PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THE FOLLOWING:
We have arranged for the parking at the BACK of the centre to be left for us. This way you can all park together and leave in convoy. To get to the back, you enter the (WorldWear) centre and turn RIGHT, go around the MR PRICE home, and all the way around. All you have to remember is to get to the BACK of the parking lot, but I request that you go to the back in an anti-clockwise direction because there is a burst water pipe on the LEFT hand side of the centre, so you will have to drive over a sandy patch which I am positive nobody would want to do! So remember, enter the centre, and drive to the back in an anti-clockwise direction.

From our side, we have arranged muffins and cappuccinos from our local PnP at the centre. We will be handing out BMWFanatics business cards to those who attend and all you have to do is hand this over to the cappuccino person at PnP. So please remember to collect your cards from us before heading over to PnP. We will setup a Gazebo as well as the BMW fanatics gazebo outside the store.

I have arranged with TurtleWax to set-up outside the store, demo'ing their new PerfectFinish range which has yet to be launched. They will be there to answer any detailing questions you may have regarding Turtlewax or general queries as well. They have sponsored us 2 complete detailing kits that will be up for grabs between 9-10 am. We will be putting 70 numbers into a hat, and will choose a winner. Your number on this thread will be your entry number. So if you have not put your name on this list DO IT NOW!
