Hi gents

Have decided to let the M2 go and get myself back into a 3 series, this time M340i. Vehicle is full spec and what was the decider for me was the individual ivory merino leather heated seats.

After only two days with this car, what I can confirm is that they are brilliant.

Wharreh Car!

Looks stunning, quality wise from pics looks better than M2.

How’s the driving compared to the M2?

Hey VinceM

I know this is rather cliché, but very different cars.

The M2 is a rather traditional M car. It is very quick as well, but delivers the power to a very capable chassis that squirms, twitches and goes sideways very easily. When I bought the M2 two years ago, I was also very close to getting into a Jahre M3. The M2 got me buying it after a just a km of driving it. It felt alive and gave you a sense that you need to respect it as it goes sideways very quick. The presence and stance also stood out to me, it’s like a little hot wheel for the road.

The M340i is very different , what I immediately feel is the quality of drive and luxury. A very well put together car that is amazingly smooth (could be the adaptive suspension) and refined inside. On the power side, this thing is very fast - I am actually of the view that this is quicker than my M2 - not just from a standing start, but also when you put your footdown from like 80 and watch it climb effortlessly to speeds I will not mention.

PS: The M2 was also a looker

Congrats @MoeM2, you've got the perfect package. Better make friends with the petrol attendants coz' you'll be seeing them quite often

Yep, not expecting heroic fuel consumption - but coming from a M2, should be similar if not lighter. (the M2 inspirers one to drive it, whilst this is also great at cruising around). Good thing though I work from home more often.

PS : My E39 M5 will put all to shame on consumption
