Hi all,

As part of my efforts to continue to work with top manufacturers and organisations, G Shift is now an authorised Powerbrake dealer.

Powerbrake is not a new name to the forum, and there are already many forum members running big brake upgrades on their cars.

Their business model is moving more towards the 4x4 market, but they do still offer some packages for street cars.

If you're looking at improving the braking performance of your vehicle, have a look at what they have to offer.

Thanks

I used to love the Powerbrake setup on my Subaru with the Endless ME20 pads.

It didn't look like they had done a heck of a lot of development in recent years on the newer cars (granted I last looked closely maybe 18 months ago). Now that you mention they are targeting the 4x4 market it makes a lot of sense. I recently looked their way for track pads, discs and lines for my 4C (via the guy I used for this before) and ended up not getting anywhere despite this using the same calipers as the Clio RS amongst many others. I just checked now and looks like their site has even less info than when I was last there. There used to be many guides and technical info as well as use cases for the cars. With the prices of discs and pads from BMW especially on M cars it would be nice to have this as an option from a brand that puts out quality stuff. Also seems to be an uptick in guys that are building project cars or restoring old ones for performance use.

Maybe pass the feedback on to your contacts there. I often see their posts about calipers etc but I think they supply those to racing teams etc (I would guess).

Yes Llew, you are correct. Powerbrake is moving away from road cars, and focussing more on the 4x4 / off-road racing market.

Also, they are in a bit of a tight space at the moment. Long story short, they're moving to a new accounting / financials system, and this will integrate with their revamped e-commerce site which is currently in development.

Because of this, many of their catalogues and other information have been removed from their current website. It sounds like they are targeting to be completed with their upgrades by year-end. They have apologised for this inconvenience, but have committed to responding to enquiries asap.
