Hi all

A long overdue review, but here it goes.

After hunting for over a year for a clean 530d GT with low kms and FSH, I luckily managed to find one and the first thing on my mind was removing the dpf and the EGR delete.

It was my first time doing tuning and in hindsight, Juvan gave me solid advice and explained everything to me with detailed clarity.

My 530d GT is a 2010 model and had about 112,000 kilometres when i took it in to Xcede Performance for tuning work: DPF removal, downpipe , EGR delete, and stage two performance mapping. This was back around October last year. Initially, the file sent back had errors, and the car threw fault codes and went into limp mode on the drive home. I sent the vehicle back with my cousin immediately as I had a meeting to attend to. My cousin left from Xcede around 5pm but we were still having the same issue. Juvan told me to bring the vehicle back, and that he would not sleep knowing a customer is unhappy.

Juvan opened the workshop, and I got there around 7pm. He custom made multiple tuning files, loading at least four or five different versions onto the vehicle. Each time he had me take it for a test drive, then made adjustments based on my feedback. His patience and commitment to getting it perfect was genuinely impressive. I probably only left there past 9pm.

After the tuning, yes, the car does throw out a fair bit of smoke, but I've had zero issues. I plan on and have been, servicing it every 10,000 kilometres and the performance gains are genuinely insane for a car of this age: 692 newton metres of torque and 222 kilowatts. Juvan's willingness to stay late and invest that kind of time into custom tuning until it was spot on says everything about his professionalism and integrity. Highly recommended.

100% agree... the reason why I stick with Xcede is none of my Xcede tuned cars are:
1. Customer Service (Juvan always made sure to get a booking with my convenience factored in, other people will fit you into their schedule whereas Juvan does it the other way. To a point where he even fetched my car for me, did the dyno runs, tunes etc and brought the car back while I was in Cape Town years back because I could not get to him because of my work travels.
2. He always makes time for help and assistance no matter how small or big and especially advise, I can trust his and Sherwin's advice always, without a doubt. Xcede is like a private school tuner compared to a public school tuner - when I leave my vehicles at Xcede, I know the vehicle is driven well, taken care off and any work carried out is to the best of their ability.
3. No faults or issues - None of my Xcede cars or even cars that Xcede have advised me on have ever went in the opposite direction. I do not consider myself a big spender with Xcede at all and I know this for a fact given the cars they tune and work they do but the service and behavior doesn't discriminate amongst us according to spend but rather customer satisfaction and output. In this day and age, this is service delivery we lack majorly but Xcede ha it down to a T.
4. Power - Power is made safely and reliably, you end up knowing your car so well after it spends time at Xcede, you know the weak and strong points and areas to focus on for maintenance, it enables a person to have a smoother ownership overall even if you are a first time buyer for a specific model. And they are honest, if they cannot do something...they will say so and refer you to someone else trusted to get it done.

Great review bud, great power and Xcede reviews seem to be very much the same, I only wish them to growth from strength to strength.
