I'm really happy because I'm finally part of the club! Picked up my 2016 320D Sport Line (F30 - B47) yesterday! Less than 95,000KMs and really really good condition. Looking forward to getting used to driving her and eventually performing a couple changes.

If anyone wants to give me any golden nuggets of advice or just things they like I would really appreciate it. I've driven my parents old car for the last 2.5 years and I finally got a good job and a deposit to buy this as my first car (unassisted). So any advice from cool accessories, or must have aesthetic mods, to general driving habits or info would be super helpful. The leather is in good nick and I'd like to keep it that way. Ordered these grilles before I got the car because Im not a fan of the stock ones.

Congratulations!

For the leather, Gyeon Leather Shield has become my go to (together with leather cleaner and a brush).

Plenty of advice will be coming your way from the other members, but that is a gem of a car so you shouldn't have too many issues in future, as long as you keep up with the maintenance.

Congrats on the new ride! The facelift really has nice new touches. Love the rear lights.

First thing.... Enjoy it! The Change to a Bmw diesel is always so awesome. Wait until you do your first long trip and you are shocked at how that fuel needle barely moves.

Keep it well maintained. Service it on time and only original or quality oils and parts etc (Liqui moly)
Drive it for a whole, then do a downpipe then a remap. The downpipe will drop your consumption by about 0.2 l/100km, and you will notice the car will pick up revs faster, especially from idle revs up. The remap will totally transform the car. You will fall in love with the car all over again. Overtaking will be a breeze, and you will have constant linear power all the way to the upper end of the revs range.

The only major maintenance item that is a MUST is take the car to ZM Gearbox. They are the original manufacturers of the gear box.
Tell them you would like check the gear box. The analysis is free. They check the quality of the oil in the gear box, and then check the time it takes to fill each clutch plate. If your gearbox is within spec, then you are lucky and you can simply do an oil change. This is the only mechanical item that needs to be checked on these cars.

Like TurboLlew mentioned invest in some leather treatment and you will keep that interior looking and smelling new for a long time. That leather should be matte and not shiny at all. Give it a clean every month or two and you will have the quality Bmw feel for a long time.

Welcome to the forum and Many happy miles!

Congratulations! Excellent choice.

FILV has covered most points. The gearbox service at ZF is important and I think you at the right mileage to get this done.

Haha, no I am not... why? 👀
Just curious, there's one just like yours. Same rims just made black. Custom vinyl on the car, attending some of the "special" Cape Town meets.

**update: Took a closer look and there is 2 differences between your cars, guy has a small boot spoiler (was hard to see since the custom wrap is black from the roof to the back and closer inspection on the wheels it seems a tad different)

Just got that feeling when I saw it attending these meets that you get when you see your buddy leaving a bar hammered with someone who's gonna give him 2 options in the morning when he wakes up... wake her up or chew the arm off she's lying on in order to ninja out. :ROFLMAO:

Nothing wrong with the wrap etc or visual appearance of the car, to each their own but these meets on the other hand...
