F20 120D Pre-Facelift Interior Buttons Replacement

Hi Everyone,

I am soon to be the owner of a 2013 F20 BMW 120D. Vehicle is overall in good condition for its age, however, the radio, aircon and steering wheel buttons have worn off. Have looked at a few replacement options and would like to ask on here if anyone had a similar experience and could advise what the best method would be to repair.

The options are:
1. Order individual buttons from AliExpress and replace. (Not too expensive but labor intensive and run the risk of not fitting properly).
2. Try and source a new aircon unit, radio and steering wheel module for phone buttons(Also labor intensive and more expensive to replace entire units).
3. Try to source the units 2nd hand from scrapyard. (Less expensive but might not last as long as new units and still labor intensive to replace).

Your advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Why not just source OEM from BMW? They quoted me R1000 for the full set of HVAC buttons on my e92.

Try facebook marketplace , plenty f20's stripping, I bet for a 1k you should be able to get the the complete climate and radio modules. The steering buttons should be fairly cheap to buy new.
