F10 Damper pulley issue

Hi Guys

I have a F10 , 530d 2012. I recently replaced my vibration damper pulley which I got from a reputable after market franchise. This was an OEM make , however I am experiencing the same issue , which is a rowdy noise.
We then thought , it was the tensioner pulley as well , so I changed that. However the issue was still experienced.

We then checked and confirmed with my tech and another bmw specialist , and they both agree that it has to be the vibration damper pulley.
They said although I have never had an issue with the supplier before , I was told that with the damper , there may have been faulty ones even though purchased new.

I must stress that I had the option of buying 2 different makes , and chose the more expensive one , as the one from the bmw agent was very expensive.
Currently , I had to get the bmw technician to remove the damper from my car , and take it back to the supplier. They now sent it to Jhb for (testing) , and its been weeks with my vehicle just parked off in the garage , while I await a refund or a new part.

I will greatly appreciate any help from you guys , as the 530d is an awesome vehicle and can't wait to get back on the road.
Also which after market make or supplier would you recommend.

Thanks a lot guys
Logan

See my comment elsewhere on the forum on the same issue. Had my dampener replaced just under a year and just within the guarantee. New dampener was something like Corona from Goldwagen, not sure if i have the name right but was something like that (was about five years ago). Not BBR or Topran.

I get that OEM is expensive, but after similar experiences with so called aftermarket brands I ended up buying OEM tHe second time round. Personal opinion is that some parts I won't go aftermarket, the time and cost time to replace something the second surpasses OEM cost. The biggest problem would be how to determine which parts to go OEM.

Thank you guys. I also don't compromise on certain parts , as you certainly can spend much more eventually.
I just received a new batch of the BBR (it is OEM) , so will try it for now.

If it's OEM, what the difference in price between BMW and Goldwagen?

Just to let you know , the difference is vast. It is R14000.

Goldwagon eventually gave me another batch of the BBR , which I tried , and what do you know , it works.

Are yous till happy with the BBR damper?
Did you buy an OEM bolt?
Did you also replace the belt?

I once changed the dampener on a friend's car and it had the four small torques bolts and not the one large bolt, which is a b....... to loosen and tighten. I think the torque setting is something like 500Nm for the single bolt application

Funny thing is my mechanic checked and my Pulley is fine. The rattle i was hearing i eventually figured out is my engine cover vibrating .
The front engine cover grommet is completely gone.

If you do check on your 30D just be weary of this, its a real thing lol:
