Evening gear heads,
I've started noticing a rough steering feel on my E82 when turning at a standstill.
I notice this, for example, when backing out of a parking spot on tar, but don't really feel it when turning on loose sand. It's almost a grinding feeling or a rumble that you can only really feel on the steering wheel.
Additionally, and possibly unrelated, there is sometimes a slight squeal when turned to full lock.
Was going to swap out my power steering fluid reservoir (with built in filter) and flush the fluid, since I don't think it's ever been done.
Anybody have any advice for me? Is this normal behavior on the older hydraulic steering setups?
