Good day guys, new 125i Coupe owner.
its a 2010, got 125kkm on it. got it last thurs. OMG its thirsty. hahaha
but then you cant complain once you press that start button...yooooh stuff of dreams.
im coming from a VW Golf 4 2.0. so its got twice the power already.
with my driving the fuel consumption is around 11.5 - roughly same as the golf. imagine. so now i just gotta be light footed, with great power comes great responsibility. my bro has a 318i e46 with the m sport kit, i always found that to be a hard drive. even when i tested an e90 320d with a sports kit that was hard. this goes over bumps, sublime. the exclusive pack is on this car. over time, i will look at a chip. take it 195kw, maybe m sport bumpers, and some 18s m sport wheels or HRE's. i did order an ebay universal lip, will go on when i get it. those do look simple but add a nice touch to the front. then maybe a lip on the rear. but for now, just enjoying the car as its a top one.

here's the pics.........

Hi thanks!
yeah, its not bad, i have to drive with the AC off, which is not what im use to haha....but this car is just trouble with headlights. loving it.
went in today for the radio, is isn't picking up the bluetooth, the aux or usb. and its a professional so should play mp3 cds....right?
Then the bonnet doesnt open, so issue on the cable, but i see SVG repaired the lower part and the handle in march 2018. so still under all warranties, ai.

so, maintenance recently, had to replace a seal around the oil cooler and then the 1 ignition coil on cylinder 3. was a Bremi brand. got it at goldwagen, came in at R520 there about.

My mech was saying it should last a year, should i have gone with bosch? can we get these coils cheaper elsewhere?

also, i think the new coil is added performance hahaha
line up at the robots next to a 130i, still tell the guy, lets go, i wanna see how badly im going to lose.
robots goes green, hook up a better launch and was ahead. quite happy. then traffic came quick so it was over very quick.
the sound of 2 n52s screaming was amazing. his did sound stock.

I have a few mates with these cars.
Open to correction, but I think these have 3.0 litre motors, while the 325i coupe of the same period had a 2.5 motor?
Fuel consumption is always a complaint from my mates, but their service and maintenance costs of plan (according to them) are more reasonable than any turbo motor.

hi! yeah its got the 3.0 but detuned. im still working on getting a com cable to connect to the car.
haha then i'm like your mates....the mech says to me on sat that my brother is more excited about the 125i than me, so i reply, ag man for it always in reserve. he had a good laugh. i use one of my whatsapp groups as a logbook, always sending pics of the dash when it says 40km to go :blueCry:

tuesday drove up to mossel bay. was roughtly 385kms. Trip took close to 5hours. traffic leave cpt, and a stop for chows at wimpy.
car averaged 9L/100kms. does this sound about right? hahaha im guessing its decent. was set on mostly 125km/h. some places could go a bit faster but didnt ever go past 160-170 on a stretch. car felt amazing, like i was toying with it. i do find it does need maybe a wider tyre at the rear, wasnt as planted as i would have expected it to be. also i think the run flats do steal a lot from the ride and comfort.

Welcome buddy and nice car.

These are some thirsty bad boys but I like what you said. Its easier to buy petrol than a turbo :biglol:

I have always wondered what is the range on a full tank on these cars freeway driving cruising around 120kph - 130kph

Good day peeps! So, some updates...
the boot....stuff kept moving around. went to builders, got some non-slip netting stuff, worked out to be the perfect size for the boot. tops!

as you can see i did the audi a4 hook, i need to redo it, drill 2 holes. been lazy. but its a must have item for packets.

Then i had that horrible eye sore of a dent on the passenger side.
so got that removed. guy did a decent job. so im pretty happy.

next up: i want to do 35% S&G, maybe darker at the rear quarter glass. replace the mulf. do a blue start button (got off ebay, still not here) the universal front lip (sitting on my table-just lazy, and weather getting cold). realign that front bumper, need advice or someone. driver slower.

havent done anything to the car, added a red start button.  Got a tail light to replace the cracked one, will prob change both as bought a set of the pre-lci lights.  got a matt black grill for a good price, need to spray it gloss and then fit and still get the original boot lip spoiler sprayed and fitted but life is busy.

Nice pics I love the one with the 86 as well :) I have both time machines of the modern age in my garage. We are looking at possibly the last naturally aspirated rear wheel drive coupes/sports cars before electrification therefore these cars will be collectable based on rarity. For BMW the e82 125i is the last naturally aspirated straight six that you can buy. Further they are reliable cars no turbo issues and if mileage is low and well maintained will not depreciate. My 2013 86 is sitting currently on 46000kms and 2012 125i on 64000kms. I love these cars.
