Thanks guys...

Honestly I've been a little selfish these past couple days. I've made more use of the X than the wife
:roflol:

What i can see though is that this car prefers the open road. Driving up n down to the shops sees the consumption go up a bit. The other thing that takes getting used to is its damn turning circle... :hammerhead:
I've had a double take on a few parkings already.

Next up i think are gona be replacing the glow plugs and intake manifold gaskets.
On a cold start she's still a bit sluggish and this was after replacing the battery and removing those 3 battery leaching tracking units. She also smokes quite abit on that cold start. But after driving around the block she's all fine.

Hopefully thats it for now.

You wasting your time with glow plugs dude... We dont need them in our climate and they wont aid the roughness when cold at all.

My E39 was a little rougher when super cold first thing in the mornings but once warmed up all good. Older tech motors in these than you're used to in the E90 so thats something to remember...

I may want to pester you with some questions in the near future though :fencelook:

Sweet! Scoping for one myself at the moment...

But yeah, my E39 didnt have a single glow plug working and even parked outside in -2 temps she'd start on the first swing

Congrats Mike :chef:

As for the sluggish start, you might want to have the FSU/FSR/Head Hodge resistor checked out, it sits under the glove box and take 5 minutes to change if it is the culprit

On the route to work and back which is 70km of which 50/55km is on the highway. Using the cruise control at 120/125 it averages 9l/100km.
Shops and back and school run gets it up to 12l/100km
