Hi guys

I think i have a small leak on my radiator, i got a quote from JSN for the part. R3193 + Vat.

Where else can i source one and how difficult is it to replace?

Also what else should i look at replacing while i'm at it, already did the Coolant tank last year.

Thanks
guys.

Just got a quote at GW for R1280.00. Will you guys advise buying the radiator from them?

Silverton Radiators sell a Behr radiator for the e46 at around R1200 excluding fitment. I replaced mine on the 9th of Jan. Seems fine. If you have a lift, it's a breeze to replace. Takes about an hour.

Yup, did mine a few months ago, bought a behr from Silverton for R1200, job took about 3 hours without a lift. Good fun, not difficult although I believe the automatics allow for less working space in the front so might be bit more of a struggle if you drive a lazy. You also need to consider the 4 litres of decent anti-freeze you will need to top up. Also worth replacing the coolant level sensor while all the water is out. Can get it for around R100 at master parts if you aint too sticky about over priced OEM (although if you were you be buying an OEM rad :)) Lots of awesome DIY's on the web. Also check quality of your hoses while you are at it. Good luck!

Thanks for that, where are they located?

I'm in Randburg, are there any branches close by?

GW sells the plexus radiator? anyone know this brand? I see on a different thread Freerider fitted this radiator to the 320i. Calling @freerider.

Did my own e46 as well 3 months ago, bit of a tricky job with no lift and if it's auto. If your mileage is higher than 100,000 km I would suggest replacing the oil cooler at the same time if you have an auto and drive like I do.

My oil cooler went 500"Kay's after my radiator was replaced.

When replacing cooling system parts, go new, these motors are only bullet proof if you keep them cool.
