Hi Guys

So im trying to help an Aunt of mine fix mechanically and sort out a few cosmetic issues with her car. Shes had it since new , 2003 and it only has around 80 000kms on it .

Some of the interior of her car is pretty scratched up, , that is the trim and center console trim. It has that rubbery sort of coating trim panels , 80 000kms but I guess with age and small kids they do take a beating .

Are the pieces from a sedan interchangeable with the TI ?

I know the trim on the door handles are not , but those from the dashboard ,Auto gear shift, light switch , the little storage area next to the steering wheel , can those be swapped out from a sedan? They look exactly like those from my car but the part numbers on real oem are different , they look Ti specific?

Is the center console the same ?

Its very difficult finding Ti cars at the scrap yards so if these would work that would be great .

The front window switches , are they the same as those from the sedan? Her passenger side switches seems to be missing a button , Can I swap this out with one from a sedan?

Thanks guys for all the input!

Most of the interior bits is interchangeable. Window switches should be the same as the coupe.

I am not sure whether the trim is the same as the sedan e46 (although I think the dash trim and around the gear lever should be the same). But to take the panels off and respray them,is an easy DIY job. Just clean the previous rubber finish off using thinners, sand it down, cover it wil plastic primer and then spray a colour of your choice and seal with a clear lacquer. I did my e46 a few years back and it came out great and IIRC it only cost me about R250 and some elbow grease. I must say the trim was much more durable afterwards thanks to the clear coat.

I removed mine and sprayed it with plastidip when i had the Ti . Worked well and was pretty durable .

I found sparesboys had some of the parts i needed .

Thanks guys! really appreciate the responses , Will visit moosa from sparesboys and see if his got anything , I remember them having a TI some time ago . Hopefully there's still something left of it in their inventory . Will also give the plastidip a thought . I know it can be used on the center console which would cut down on that cost .

Thanks guys!
