E36 MEX?

Hi fellow fanatics, I've noticed that E36 MEX models for sale have premium asking prices by sellers. Why ? what is different about these models?

I have googled this and cant seem to find anything.

I have googled this and cant seem to find anything.

From what I understand and could be very wrong :

M - Manual
EX - Executive (feature wise probably sunroof, leather etc.)

Also seen some AEX's advertised which obviously were Automatic Executive.

The manual 6 cylinder E36/E46's are in greater demand hence the prices are higher than the autos.
