I thought i'd share the build of a Santorini Blue E36 M3 that i had purchased about 2 and a half years ago with a damaged motor and only things that was missing was the complete cylinder head and 1 piston and conrod but the overall condition of the car decent.

The time had come to put the car back on the road and after much thought i decided to go the 2JZ route as it was easiest alternative and cost effective way to reach my power goal of 800hp as apposed to a M3 motor, now i know i could achieve the same with either a S50B32 or a S52 motor but i had the 2JZ motor and the parts already.
I started with the build last year October and completed by end of November but i had some issues and got it running perfectly at the end of January.
Had the car tuned on 100% Ethanol and managed to achieve a reading of 644hp at 1.5bar boost with a lot wheelspin on the dyno with 2 guys in the trunk.
I am sure that we are region of 700+hp and the motor can handle much more boost than that ,but it was useless even trying to turn it up as it will just spin on the dyno

ARP headstuds
Cometic headgasket
Flowed and ported head
T72 ballbearing turbo
38mm Wastegate
Greddy copy intake
80mm Throttle body
1600cc injectors
76mm boost pipes
600x300x75 Intercooler
13 row Setrab oilcooler

Drivetrain is :
Tilton 3 disc clutch
E36 M3 6 speed gearbox
Stock M3 diff

Well done, looks like a very neat conversion.

And no space left in the engine bay, I'm sure many swear words were bestowed upon that motor during fitment

No adaptor , 2JZ bellhousing is welded onto the BMW gearbox
