Hi Gents

Just thought I would share a few quick pics of my recently purchased daily, a 1998 e36 328i Manual.

Thanks for looking....

Let me know if you want a set of style 32 narrows and wides or even a set of style 42's.

This car is awesome. Would also prefer an E36 wheel, like M3, 32's or Contours

Thanks for the kind words gents.

@Gizmo: Thanks for the offer, style 32's have always been my choice for the e36. These rims have been fully refurbished though, so I might just run with them for a while.

@Drop it: This one kinda found me, I was looking for another e46 330i when this popped up and I couldnt resist.

The car is a 06/98 build. There have been about 3 previous owners, but the second owner had for a very long time. It's a normal 328i, but fortunately the second owner took the time to source original M3 bumpers, mirrors, beadings and springs, and exhaust (all these seem to have come off one car). It runs really well, and the drivetrain is still crisp. It has 145 000km on the clock.

The guy I bought it from was battling to drive it due to him only driving an auto previously and the e36's stiff throttle. He sold it to me at a really good price because he thought the clutch was on the way out, I have been driving it since then (1 month) with no issues.

It also had a M3 exhaust on, which I have since removed and replaced with a single 63mm free flow.

On a side note, when i decoded the vin, one of the options listed is "Special Motor", anybody care to elaborate on this?

Are you sure about it being a June 1998 build because as far as I know E36 production ceased in April 1998.

Special motor means alu block and 150kw, not the usual 141kw cast iron block. My techno violet one is/was the same.

May I ask what you paid?

The usual 328 is 142kw/280nm. Any idea what torque the special motor pushes?
