E34 535i headliner and now sunroof liner refurb DIY

After doing my headliner and A, B and C pillars, i needed to do the sunroof liner. Little more difficult due to the way it is constructed. you basically need a sewing machine to do this job.
Luckily i do. :)

Few weeks ago i did the main headliner.

then i was still left with the sunroof liner, for which i did not have enough material. I did it today. It wasn't in a good condition.

Took it out, and ripped the old material off. Came off quite easily after 24 years of use. :)

Had to stitch the new layers together and decided to use red instead of black thread. M Sport look.

Glued the corners over and onto each other.

Hz...well done. I need to do this on my car...where does one buy the material from and more importantly what do I ask for? Cheers

Are you situated in Cape Town? In which case you can get it at Kehls.

Otherwise you can get it at any good Auto trimmers place. If you have money to spend, most auto trimmers will do it for less than R1000. (Mine cost less than R250 for the material!)
