So i think i found the problem. I thought my car was clean inside and out. Missed a crucial observation and i did not take into account that i drive +-80km everyday to Stellenbosch and back which could clog the air filter earlier, MUCH earlier.

So heres what happened after i 'tapped' the air filter out.... yes all that black was in the air filter :flyfun: . Will 'wash' the K&N filter this weekend.

And i don't know how all of us missed it when i opened my bonnet at the dyno day but after inspection found this hole in the intake snorkel. So it was sucking in hot air all day.

Also for some reason my radiator was low on water and coolant but the light was not on in the car. Had to fill up with 600ml of water and coolant.

Gonna get the air snorkel repaired this week and then hit the dyno. I know as a car fanatic i shouldve checked these things before hand. My minds in another place at the moment and i was just too excited for the dyno day.

Not nice at all.

Surely you would have noticed the decrease in power though or do you think it may be to do with it being built up so slow?

The car feels okay, thats what worries me but to be honest there where times this weekend and especially today where the car felt asthmatic. Only some diagnostics and dyno runs will be able to tell.

Another thing Mike is because i drive medium distance each day with traffic you don't notice these things like i use to when i was doing short trips where i loved to give it full throttle now and then.

The building up slow could be attributed to the air filter building up grit over time and the engine only suffering with hot air in the afternoons because the car is dead cold in the mornings when i drive. And i get most problems when its afternoon driving back.

Thanks Max

yeah but the zickzack is terrible :thumbdo:

Yes with regard to the Torque curve. Power curve looks stable enough. Any advice how to get it smoother again? Retune?
