Good Afternoon fellow Fanatics!
As some of you may have noticed Definitive Detailing has been expanding with a Repair, Tuning and now also a Performance Division. :thumbs:
Not only do we make cars shiney, but we also make them faster and through our various contacts we can even go crazy with bodykits, imported mag wheels and custom steering wheels!
I am a huge believer in that everything has its place and that everyone has their own taste and individual style. Sometimes what appeals to me may not appeal to you.
We see this all over. Custom door colours on MINI's. Sportspack and BMW Boutique Items and even different mag wheel colours. Cars these days are not just about A to B, they play a vital role in the way we live our lives creating memories and sharing some of our greatest experiences with us.
The car is no longer a machine but rather an individual extension of who we are. :idea:
For this reason this project and partnership has me extremely excited because for the first time ever Definitive Performance can now offer custom made, personalized steering wheels for our clients.
Coming from a background of exotic cars, fun cars and unique cars I know that one of the biggest factors with driving a car is the feel of the steering wheel. The width, the grip and the feedback it provides from the car. A plastic steering wheel vs a beautifully made leather steering can make or break the feel of a car.
I recently spent the day with one of my favourite steering wheel designs (The design pictured above).
The car itself was a BMW E90 320D and from the moment I laid my hands on the steering wheel my whole feel and experience of the drive was different. I have driven several standard 320D's and I was simply blown away by this steering wheel.
Now some of you are shaking your heads - No doubt wondering what the hell I am going on about.
These steering wheels are chunky, sporty and add an edge to what is an otherwise sedate sedan. The grippy curves of the steering wheel mixed with the extra width gives you so much confidence when driving and particularly when you are pressing on.
The leather although plush feels sturdy and has a wonderful premium texture to it which makes you feel like you are driving so much more than a 320D. Add in the way it looks and you have a truly individual touch adding a bit of your own personality to the dashboard.
The greatest aspect of these steering wheels is that they are completely custom. You choose everything and if you are short of inspiration then fear not as we have a huge selection for you to choose from that are sure to get your imagination working.
My absolute favourite is this steering wheel, who can notice the extra little built in feature it has? Also, the ///M stitching!
