And? What happened at RBTS today?

Sorry for being queit guys, hectic load of work thrown at me as well as no internet at home thanks to this weekends storm. Using my blackberry to type this.

Got the car back from Ross and its a dream. He sorted everything out, the idle is 100%, she purrs and drives like royalty, smooth as silk and amazingly gentle... But put your foot down, and a bomb is unleashed. Ross was able to push another few kw's out of the car with some moderate tuning, so we sitting at 155kw at the wheels and 303nm torque at the wheels. I'll upload the dyno graph, its a beautiful linear power curve, straight diagonal line. Awesome power.

I must say I am very happy with the car and the power its making with no other mods. I haven't decatted the car, still have restrictive intake manifold and stock exhaust with stock internals, no intercooler nor meth. So, I'm looking forward to see the power gains once we start looking at the engine.

For now, she's damn quick and drives beautifully, no over fueling, no stalls, you wouldn't even think she was supercharged when you driver her normally. Really really happy. Thank you Burgy, thank you Mr. T, thank you Gizmo and LZ for the support and Ross at RBTS Racing for his amazing tuning skills.

So how much of a difference we talking here... should I do exhaust headers, decatt and full exhaust??

i would do full exhaust... i went for duel 57mm all the calculations i did said it was large enough for 0.5bar and you wont fit larger in without losing ground clearance or having knocking issues...

if i were to redo my exhaust i would make it single 83mm on the middle section were ground clearance is not an issue to save weight and have and have an X pipe effect...

Busy replacing Flywheel and Clutch with something more beefier for upcoming mods.

Have not had the car for a few days... miss her.

Only downside to modding is not having a car during the installation periods. Right now I am a BMX fanatic, cause thats all I got to get around while I wait. lolz

i was using a modified lightweight flywheel from Buddler motorsports. but its given me nothing but trouble since installing it. Even before the charger was installed.

So I've decided to get rid of it. Currently looking for something that can handle the power.

Crash you may as well just change the flywheel then because the clutches are pretty much the same... or you could even put your old flywheel back...

oh wait i think im confused because i have an e90 clutch... looks like the 323i does have a smaller clutch and flywheel :yuck:

im going to go down now to measure what i took out just to be sure...

Not quite...

Standard flywheel on Crash's car is a 228mm.

The custom flywheel is 240mm using a larger clutch, but as indicated its not quite working for some unknown reason......

it is not 240mm... but from what i have read its will be fine with your sort of power... i also have another clutch and pressure plate for you if it gets eaten :) its in pretty good condition...

damn this means i will have the change the clutch when i change to a 330i flywheel :(

i dont know how i missed such a huge difference :bangdesk:

Ya... LZ, lets take a look at my old flywheel and see whats happening there. Maybe I can't use that custom Flywheel we got there.
