crash ive been thinking about your launching problem and i think it may be because your charger is too big for the car  so its hardly spooling to produce enough boost for you... causing a very steep gain in torque...

I only see two solutions:

one is a heavier flywheel to stop the car from bogging...

the other is to run the charger at a higher rpm so it boost more at low rpm where you having your problem... you will then have to vent off alot of air at higher engine rpm...

:pimp:
They were all following the tame metro cop in his blue E46 325i, trying to catch up to him, but if you are only allowed to drive 120km/h, and the metro cop is allowed to go a LLLIIIITTTLLLLEEEE bit faster... :mmm: then well, you fall behind!

Ya, you probably right. I've taken the lightweight flywheel out now, put in a heavier fly wheel, no more bogging, but slow as hell to rev up. I loved the responsiveness of the lightweight flywheel.

Anyway, looks like I'm getting an M3 soon. Maybe end of next month, gonna chuck my charger into that. Well, thats the plan... Lets see what happens.

Thread revival! ha ha ha.

Just reading through this old thread. So interesting to see the teething problems we had with, what effectively was Project Shift's first supercharged car with a custom tune. Strange to think I only had the 323i supercharged for 7 months before getting my M3. It's crazy... Felt like I had it charged for much longer. I guess you could say the 323i was a test for what is my ultimate goal, supercharging an M3. Sure the 323i was fast and could stand up against an M3 up here at the reef... but she just wasn't an M3. The feeling was missing.

None the less, I've started getting things together and prepping Jezebel's comeback (Jezebel is the M3).

All is set in motion... Considering December is the month where most tuning places are closed, I doubt we will have Jezebel charged by new year. Partly due to her still needing her Racing Valves put in, and that I am waiting for a new intake manifold... also, seeing how many issues we had with tuning, I think its safe to say Ross will need some time with the car.

Lets see...

None the less. The build is now on.
