Mine lasted 184k km and slightly over 10 years. I would say its a good life for a part that is made of rubber. I replaced it at the dealership with Genuine parts and got one year warranty. I'm hoping to get the same mileage out of the new part. After seeing how think and strong the rubber on a damper is, I doubt the belt and tensioner can cause that to fail. My opinion is that the tensioner and belt will fail before the damper if not installed correctly. I stand to be corrected
