Charlton's Koup

Had some time on Saturday morning and decided to get the car up in the air to give the suspension a once over. While under the car I thought, mmm this mid box is unwanted weight and the F30 made me enjoy a loud cold start. So I asked the guys to cut it out and fit a straight pipe in preparation for a planned mod once the house stuff is sorted and settled in.

And then?
I agree, no soundclip is dreadful!

The Koup is now nearing 95 000km so a service is due soon at 98 000. Nothing has happened. Been settling in and doing "new" home stuff.

Its a weird relationship, just as I start thinking mmm I like it a lot I am greeted with typical front wheel drive characteristics. Cant fault the car otherwise, she does her duties brilliantly and the "whoosh" sounds make me act 9 years old.

She might stay on even when I after get back into a BMW. My daughter thinks its "cute with the wheels that look like flowers"

Looking good my bro, these are actually quite fun to drive.

I rate keep her as a daily and treat yourself to an old school M or an inline 6 when the time is right.

Any idea how the F30 is doing at its new home ? If I'm not mistaken she's with your cousin now.

Custom PWRPFF-WP plate incoming... Max out the cuteness asap

The Koup has been doing whatever I throw at her like a champ. I'm really starting to like it (finally lol).
May daughter is adamant that I should not sell it and keep it for her when she is done with her articles. I'm a very obedient dad so I probably will do just that.
I am about 200km away from hitting 100 000km and the service is now due. I'm flying to GP in 2 weeks time so will drop her off by my cousin before I leave for that to get done while I am away.
When I bought the car I knew in its life the front bumper came off and was poorly repaired. no damage indicated behind the bumper. Given what I paid for it I was ok with taking it as is (got a further amount knocked off the price to redo the bumper). I just never got around to it with the kids, work and the wedding.
Then this morning on my way to work I hit a stray dog. I'm very sad about the dog but kinda happy the bumper is gone. So can finally get it sorted. 20260901_064240.jpg
