Brake wear sensors

Morning.

I am sitting with the annoying wear sensor warning even though my brakes are still at about 5mm at least (did them 9 months ago).

Did the reset but now it just reset it to blank so the warning remains and I've managed to get it on front and rear now.

Will replacing the sensors do the trick and clear the warning or will I have to do pads again?

I don't mind driving with the warning for another 10k till next service when I can do brakes and sensors, but if sensors will for sure cure this then I'll do it now since it's a cheap job.

I stand to be corrected but once the sensor is triggered, it can't be reset. I had a similar issue and got new sensors and it resolved my problem. They aren't terribly expensive from the stealer, was a couple hundred bucks
