Can I ask why are the time slots allocated to track and drag different whilst pricing remains the same?
Can you consider equalizing them by increasing the drag slot by 30 mins...

Unfortunately, Red Start Raceway cannot accommodate us till 4.30 as their Cutoff time is 4pm. As per previous years, this was also the amount of time allocated to 1/4 mile.

Things to consider:

1) The response from the voting for a track event was surprisingly high, and even more so that Drag Racing was outvoted. However, it didn’t warrant us to scrap drag racing totally, as the results were 8% apart. That’s the reason we went with an event that caters for types of enthusiasts.

2) Track racing has a downtime of 5 minutes between each class going out and the previous one coming in. These 5 minute intervals add up to 60 minutes in total and cannot be compromised at all for safety reasons. Drag racing is continuous so the cars will be running one way from start of the allocated time to the close. There will be marshals to make sure that no line cutting takes place, and those cutting and it won’t be tolerated. We also not be allowing guys that are drag racing to take their sweet time when staging and acting like they warming their tires to run at international event with 10k USD prize at the end

3) With regards to costing, the Venue has a cost for the day, not for type of event being held, however TIMING and STAGING equipment for drag racing is not provided by the venue. This is being outsourced and once again, we took all the constructive criticism and the lessons learned from the past and are trying our best to implement those changes here. The equipment being use is Truvelo, which is world class and damn accurate, and that’s what we wanted to give our members, the best experience possible.

4) The cost for Raceday, is not cheap by any means, if we must sit down and breakdown the costs for you guys, you will be more then shocked as to what it costs, and the team is working nonstop to get those costs covered. We think we priced the event fairly attractively, and even offer a combo deal of R750 for those that want to track and drag racing on the day.

I hope this explains it a little better bro and I’m looking forward to seeing more more guys getting involved in this event.
